The Meerkerk Nursery is open seasonally, April through October, featuring Whidbey Island's largest selection of rhododendrons and azaleas. In addition to pretty plants for your garden, you can visit the Nursery for snacks, cold beverages, and ice cream during your visit. The Nursery gift shop has a beautiful selection of botanically-themed gifts and souvenirs. Stock is always changing, so come see what is fresh!
If your travels bring you to Whidbey Island and you can only visit Meerkerk Nursery on a Monday or Tuesday, please call in advance and make an appointment. 360-678-1912.

Knowledgeable and engaging Tobey Nelson will cover bulb gardening for all levels of experience. Learn Tobey's favorite fall bulbs, under-appreciated and lesser-known varieties, and secrets to success in our Whidbey microclimate.
Attendees will get to shop Meerkerk's gorgeous selection of fall bulbs early, and enjoy 15% off bulbs on the day of the event (25% for members)! You'll also get 20% off all plants in the Nursery.
After Tobey's talk, Nursery Manager Caitlin Stanton will demonstrate a delightful container technique called bulb lasagna. Learn this simple technique for layering bulbs by bloom time to create an overflowing pot of blooms come springtime. Take home a cheat sheet showing which bulbs to layer and in what order.

Inventory changes, so come see what’s “blooming” at the nursery today. Prices are$30 for one pop-up flower (rebar "stem" included), or $25 each for more than one.
Each pop-up is a unique creation made almost 100% of repurposed thrifted ceramic, stoneware, and china tableware, often paired with crystal and glassware.
The individual pieces were purchased from nonprofit organizations, mostly on Whidbey Island.
