MARKETING AND EVENTS COORDINATOR

Open year-round, Meerkerk Gardens is a privately owned, publicly accessible garden in Greenbank, WA, offering stunning views of Holmes Harbor and the Saratoga Passage. The garden spans 10 acres and features rhododendrons, companion plants, and trees, and 43 acres of woodland trails.

Position: The ideal candidate should understand marketing principles, be proficient in digital marketing tools, and be comfortable with data analysis. If you are a team player, who is creative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, this could be the perfect job for you. This position reports to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

· Develop a yearly marketing strategy that includes print, digital, and social media in collaboration with staff.

· Create and manage marketing materials including website copy, social media posts, marketing emails, newsletters, promotional items, and presentations.

· Develop and implement email marketing campaigns by segmenting lists.

· Identify new advertising opportunities and manage ad campaigns and accounts.

· Coordinate with other team members to ensure consistent messaging and seamless execution of marketing campaigns.

· Analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and prepare reports that provide insights on what works, what doesn’t, and recommendations for improvement.

· Coordinate and execute the successful production of all special events and programs.

· Manage vendor relationships while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Compensation: 24 hours per week at $28 per hour, including some weekends and evenings.

10 paid holidays annually.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Experience in graphic design, web design, social media marketing, and email marketing platforms.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Photography skills.

· A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is desired.

· Valid Washington State driver’s license and no criminal record.
