Can I bring my dog(s)?
Yes! However, they must be on a leash at all times.
Is the Garden open year round?
Yes! 365 days of the year. Summer hours can be 9:00 am to dusk. Winter is 9:00 to 4:00 pm. The Gardens do not have any lighted paths, therefore we ask visitors to not attempt to walk on the garden paths after dark.
Can I have an event at the Garden?
Events larger than 10 people and events requiring use of the gazebo, presentation grounds, and/or events that require assisted parking require pre-approval of the administrative staff. Our staff will happily try to accommodate organizations and individuals for their event in the Gardens. Approval depends on size, type of event, noise issues, and additional staff time required with set up and break down. Call us at 360.678.1912 to discuss your event.
Do I need to be a member to use the woodland trails?
No. You may use the woodland trails without being a member. We encourage everyone to become a member to enjoy the benefits of membership throughout the year.
Is photography allowed in the Garden?
Yes! Bring our camera and enjoy the splendor. All commercial photography sessions require pre-approval by staff.
Are there public bathrooms?
Sort of....from March - October we offer portable restrooms.
Are the trails easy to walk?
We encourage all visitors to wear sturdy shoes and watch their footing as there are many tree roots and doug fir cones along the walking paths.
What is the best time of year to visit the Gardens?
All year! The Rhodys bloom from early to late spring, but with our large collection of azaleas, trees, and companion plants the Gardens offer the visitor delights year round. Each season in the Gardens offers visual delights, photo opportunities, and reflection.
